The Church of St John the Baptist at Pollington

Pollington-cum-Balne Church, as it is officially known, serves the communities of Pollington and Balne. Within the parish of Pollington is the memorial to the RAF 501 Squadron that was based at the Pollington air field in WWII. Although it was known as RAF Snaith to avoid confusion with Pocklington, it is in Pollington church where all the photographs are kept.

Pollington has a Church of England School.

Pollington church is found on Balne Moor Road. Having taking the main road through Pollington, the church is found at the far end of the village.

There is room on the road in front of the church. On Sundays and school holidays, the school car park can also be used.
